What engine tuning should do
A good remap should make the vehicle feel stronger, cleaner and easier to drive. It should not feel like a harsh switch has been thrown at one point in the rev range.
Modern ECUs control fuel, boost, torque limits, throttle response, injection timing and protection strategies. Tuning adjusts the right parts of that calibration so the vehicle can use its hardware more effectively.
Stage 1 remapping
Stage 1 tuning is for standard vehicles in good mechanical condition. It is usually the best choice for daily drivers, work vans and vehicles used for towing. We still check for weak clutches, boost leaks, DPF back pressure and old fault codes first.
Stage 2 tuning
Stage 2 tuning is for vehicles with supporting hardware such as intercoolers, intake work, exhaust changes or turbo upgrades. These jobs need more care because temperatures, airflow, torque limits and boost control all matter more.
