Talk about condition and scope
Include servicing, current warnings and previous repairs. A practical quote needs the exact vehicle and agreed work, not just a stage name. Ask about ECU and gearbox support and the checks proposed for the appointment.
Keep targets in perspective
A requested torque figure does not change a clutch’s condition or the vehicle’s load ratings. A claimed saving from someone else’s journeys is not a fuel-use result for yours. The enquiry should make those priorities clear.
